Trials and refunds

This page tells you how long a trial runs, what happens at the end of one, and what a refund changes about the license you already have.

Where an offering includes a free trial, the trial runs 7 days.

That length is set by the platform, not by the seller, so it is the same for every offering on Monaiq. A seller cannot give you a longer trial on one product and a shorter one on another, and you do not have to check the length each time you try something new.

A trial license appears in Licenses alongside everything else you have bought, with the same detail page and the same features list. While the trial is running, the product treats you exactly as the offering says it should.

A trial does not turn into a paid subscription when it ends. Nothing is charged automatically at the seven-day mark, and there is no cancellation you have to remember to make.

The trade-off is the other way round: if you want to keep using the product after the trial, you buy the offering yourself. Nothing carries over on its own. Buying takes you through the same checkout as any other purchase, and your paid license appears in Licenses within a minute or two. Buy on Monaiq covers that flow.

Monaiq does not issue refunds on a seller’s behalf. The seller who sold you the product issues them from the invoice in their own portal, so a refund starts with asking the seller.

If you are not sure who that is, the license detail page in Licenses names the seller, and their storefront is at https://monaiq.com/marketplace/{sellerId}. Legal and support has the general support route if you cannot reach them.

This catches people out, so it is worth stating plainly: a refund does not by itself stop your license. The money comes back, and the license carries on exactly as it was. If it is a subscription, it will bill again on schedule.

They are two separate actions, and you usually want both:

  • The refund returns money you have already paid. Only the seller can do it.
  • The cancellation stops future billing and future access. Only you can do it, from the license detail page.

Cancelling keeps your access to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you can undo it with “Keep subscription” until that date. Your licenses walks through it.
