Publish to the marketplace
This page explains how an offering becomes visible to buyers, and what each of its three statuses does.
Publishing is a property of the offering, not of the product. You can have one offering of a product on the marketplace and another one held back, because status is set per offering.
The three statuses
Section titled “The three statuses”| Status | Where the offering appears |
|---|---|
| Draft | Nowhere public. You are still building it. |
| Public | The marketplace and your storefront. |
| Private | Not listed on the marketplace or on your storefront. |
Draft is where an offering starts. Move it to Public when the price, schedule and features are what you want buyers to see. Private takes a listing back out of the public pages without deleting the offering.
The marketplace
Section titled “The marketplace”Public offerings appear on the Monaiq marketplace at monaiq.com/marketplace, the shared catalog every seller publishes into. Buyers browse it by category, so the category you set on the offering decides where it turns up. The categories are listed in products and offerings.
Your storefront
Section titled “Your storefront”Every seller also has a storefront page holding only their own Public offerings. Its address is built from your seller id: monaiq.com/marketplace/ followed by that id.
That page is the link to give to anyone you are selling to directly, in an email, on your own site or in a proposal. It shows your offerings without the rest of the marketplace around them.
What a buyer sees in a listing
Section titled “What a buyer sees in a listing”A listing is the offering, so what a buyer decides from is what you set on the offering:
- The product it unlocks
- The features that product includes at this price
- The price, in your chosen currency
- The billing schedule: a subscription interval, a one-time purchase, or a free trial (a trial is published as its own offering)
A free trial runs 7 days, lets a buyer start without paying, and does not auto-renew into a paid period on its own.
After you publish
Section titled “After you publish”A Public offering can be bought immediately, and the buyer’s checkout runs inside the Monaiq portal: they verify their email with a one-time code and pay, with no separate signup step. Deliver to your customers describes what happens next, including how to run the same purchase inside your own product instead of on the marketplace.
